How we can help |
 |
- Airport Transfers
We can arrange the airport transfer on your behalf. We have a good relationship with 2 local agencies (www.incekar.com and www.gordiontravel.com), both who run a private taxi service and shared minibus transport.
During the 2007 season, private transfer with Incekar, from Izmir direct to the villa was £35 each way (1 or 2 passengers), £40 for 3 passengers and £45 for up to 5 passengers travelling in a fabulous Mercedes Vito.
With www.GordionTravel.com, the cost from Bodrum to our villa for 2 people is £18 each way with shared minibus, or £30 each way private transfer.
- Car hire Rates
Similarly, we can also advise on best available car hire rates, either direct from Bodrum or Izmir Airports, or perhap you would just like a car for a few days, in which case we can advise on car-hire either from Akbuk, or from neighbouring Altinkum where the choice is greater or even if you would like the car dropped of and collected direct to the villa (at extra cost).
Although car-hire rates for next year are yet to be confirmed, and the fact that rates do vary according to the type of car, the number of days of the hire period and there are seasonal rates in place. However, typical daily rates from last year would be in the order of £25 to £50 per day.
- Flights
There are several flight companies operating between the UK and the airports of Izmir and Bodrum. There are also several hundred flight booking companies offering these flights. With nearly 10 years of travelling experience to Turkey, we are able to advise on certain web sites that generally offer lower rates. Expect to pay anything between £150 and £250 for a standard charter flight, depending on the month of travel and the flight times. Booking flights at short notice can be a precarious business. Quite often they can offer flights at bargain prices but be warned that sometimes the opposite happens and you can pay a premium in snapping up the last few tickets on a particular flight.
- Arrival at the Villa
We will arrange for the local site caretaker to meet you and hand over the keys and provide you with any necessary imformation. The caretaker will previously have switched on the gas, electric and solar or water system for your immediate comfort. We can also arrange for any essential items (bread, eggs, water, milk, etc) to be collected for you on the day of arrival (local charges apply).
